AndroZip File Manager is an Android file manager and compression tool.

You can use AndroZip File Manager as a standalone tool to compress and decompress archives. You can also use it to manage your files and apps locally or across devices and storages. AndroZip is perhaps at its best when you take advantage of the marriage of these two focuses. The app provides a great way to maximize your available storage space, and compression and decompression are fast enough on modern devices that you can have just about everything archived.

Another way AndroZip distinguishes itself is through broad compression format support. Most Android file manages support ZIP and perhaps RAR. This app supports those as well as BZIP2, GZIP, TAR and a host of other compression formats. Most users will probably only ever use ZIP and RAR, but this broad support is incredibly useful for users who work in environments where other formats are prevalent.

Something else that AndroZip does really well is integrate all of its features from within its own user interface. If you extract a folder’s contents, for example, you’ll have access to those files right away and from right there within the app. This is the kind of convenience Windows Explorer, for instance, provides but most Android file explorers do not.

The user interface is configured for traditional phones and doesn’t take advantage of large screens. The aesthetic and organization seems a bit outdated as well. The UI isn’t the only area AndroZip File Manager lacks polish. It also has some bugs and can freeze up and crash during basic operations. These issues aren’t necessarily frequent but can be extremely frustrating nonetheless.
